Forty Sacred Hadith Qudsi – English and Arabic. Among the many definitions given by the early scholars to Sacred Hadith Qudsi is that of Al-Jurjani (d. 816AH) in his lexicon At-Tarifat where he says: A Sacred Hadith is, as to the meaning, from Allah the Almighty; as to the wording, it is from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq, sixth imam, or spiritual successor to the Prophet Muhammad, of the Shiʿi branch of Islam and the last to be recognized as imam by all the Shiʿi sects. Theologically, he advocated a limited predestination and proclaimed that Hadith (traditional sayings of the Prophet), if contrary Hadeeth Qudsi – The Hadeeth which has the same status as Quran. The main source of Islamic Shari’a is Quran which is revealed in the exact Words of Allah hence it is termed as Wahy Matlu (Oft-recited Revelation in Allah’s Words).
